The Matador baseball program was founded in 2016 by Dr. William Lawson and Mr. Walt Brandt. They created the first public school middle school baseball program within the Davidson County community. This year, the JTM Baseball Club is coached by Robert Paxton, his first year coaching the Matador Club and his 4th year as a head middle school baseball coach.

  • Our Season is during Spring Semester, with workouts throughout the Winter.

For the 2022-2023 season we will possibly have a varsity and a JV team depending on interest and available coaches. We will at least have one Varsity level team with 14-18 Players.

How can You Help with Matador Athletics?

1. Donate to a sports team. Teams are funded by MNPS and funds are limited. Connect with your child’s coach about how you can support their team directly.

2. Provide rides to games/meets and snacks and drinks on game/meet days. Connect with your child’s coach about how you can support their team directly.

3. Support your teams by attending events! The Matadors are an athletic powerhouse and are so thankful for the support of our fans!
