School tours are held throughout the year and are a great way for prospective families to see our campus and enjoy our community.  Tours are offered by PTO representatives for parents and guardians. Click here for dates/details.

5th-Grade Feeder School Students Visit

In the fall of 2026, the 5th-grade students from our Hillsboro Cluster feed schools, which are Glendale, Julia Green, Percy Priest, and Waverly Belmont Elementary schools, will come to EXPERIENCE MOORE by visiting our school for a half-day field trip.  They will have a question-and-answer session with Dr. Hughes and several of the 6th-grade teachers.  They will be able to hear from 6th-grade students, who are alumni from those schools, about the transition to middle school, what to expect, and more.  Dates will be communicated to the elementary 5th-grade team leads and will likely occur right after MNPS Fall Break.  

6th Grade Matador Transitions Day

Matador Transitions Day will be held this year on Friday, August 1, 2025!  All incoming 6th-grade students who have registered with MNPS will receive an email with the details.  Highlights of this experience include: 

• MEETING THEIR TEACHERS
• Receiving their fall school schedule
• Receiving their locker and learning how to use a combination lock
• MEETING NEW FRIENDS
• Unpacking school supplies
  • 1st day school supplies will ship all supplies directly to JTM.  Orders must be placed by June 30th for the upcoming school year. 
  • Students may opt to shop for themselves for their supplies.  Please plan to bring them this day to store in their locker.
• Having lunch, enjoying the playground, and navigating the school.
