It’s a new world, JT Moore Friends and Family.
Never has it been more apparent to me how connected we are to each other in profound and meaningful ways. The poet Mary Oliver once said, “There exist a thousand unbreakable links between each of us and everything else, and our dignity and chances are one…we are at risk together, or we are on our way to a sustainable world together.” This little update is a dispatch from the heart that includes a few practical resources that I hope will make time away from school full of learning.
- On the JT Moore Library website (jtmoorelibrary.weebly.com), I have information about logging onto Limitless Libraries and Clever for access to books, databases with thousands of fascinating articles and games that make learning fun.
- Remember Clever has lots of learning tools and games including code.org, Scratch, Thingiverse 3d Modeling, and Newsela (a great way for students to read the newspaper articles grown-ups are talking about, adapted to their reading level).
- Free ways to connect to WiFi have been made available through most broadband companies in the city. Directions for accessing Nashville broadband services are here and on the JT Moore Library Website:

- MNPS continues to gives updates, including how to access food and learning resources here:
Our author visit with Nic Stone will be rescheduled for the Fall and will include a community event for students who are graduating this year to come back and see her as well. I will continue updates on Twitter, @jtmoorelibrary, please follow to receive book recommendations and other interesting resources as I find them.
I’m holding you all up and with hope throughout my days. Please reach out through email ([email protected]) if there is anything I can do for you!
Be kind and patient with each other, as you can.
Ms. Dark
