Baseball
The Matador baseball program was founded in 2016 by Dr. William Lawson and Mr. Walt Brandt. They created the first public school middle school baseball program within the Davidson County community. This year, the JTM Baseball Club is coached by Robert Paxton, his first year coaching the Matador Club and his 4th year as a head middle school baseball coach.
A few things to know about our baseball program:
- Open to 5-8th Grade Students
- Play according to TMSAA rules and regulations 90′ Bases, 60’6″ mound and drop 3 BBCOR bats.
- Competes in the Harpeth Valley Athletic Conference H.V.A.C.:
- Grace Christian School
- Battle Ground Academy (BGA)
- Franklin Road Academy (FRA)
- Lipscomb Academy (LA)
- Brentwood Academy (BA
- Our season runs from Jan 9th – April 26th, with Games starting March 1st.
- We are a CLUB sport and not a sanctioned Metro Nashville Public School Team
- Approximate cost: $300 per player, with scholarships available (do not let cost deter you from trying out).
- We are trying to subsidize this cost with sponsorships, donations and fundraisers. (donations are always appreciated)
For the 2022-2023 season we will have a varsity and a JV team. The following players make up this year’s roster.
